Emerging Markets

Joshua Morris is a founding partner of Emerging Markets Group Holding and its first operating business, Emerging Markets Consulting (EMC). Prior to spearheading the establishment of EMI and the Cambodia-Laos Development Fund for the Group, Joshua was focused primarily on client delivery, strategic client engagements and operational build out at EMC.  In 2008, Joshua initiated the development of the Group’s investment business and today focuses his energies on the Fund’s operations, new investments, portfolio company growth and investor relations, among others.

Prior to launching EMC Cambodia, Joshua was Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Development for Convey Software, an enterprise software company focusing on the translation and localization needs of Fortune 500 companies. In this role, Josh was a member of the executive team that raised US$18 million in venture funding. Before joining Convey Software, Josh managed multi-million dollar marketing and content distribution partnerships in his business development role at PlanetRx.com, a NASDAQ-listed online pharmacy and health information portal.  Joshua has also spent 5 years in management consulting roles in the health care and insurance industries.

Joshua holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA cum laude from Harvard University. Based in Cambodia for the last 9 years, he is an American national.
