Emerging Markets

Joshua Morris is a founding partner of Emerging Markets Group Holding and its first operating business, Emerging Markets Consulting (EMC). Prior to spearheading the establishment of EMI and the Cambodia-Laos Development Fund for the Group, Joshua was focused primarily on client delivery, strategic client engagements and operational build out at EMC.  In 2008, Joshua initiated the development of the Group’s investment business and today focuses his energies on the Fund’s operations, new investments, portfolio company growth and investor relations, among others.

Trent Eddy is a founding partner of Emerging Markets Group Holding and its first operating business, Emerging Markets Consulting (EMC), for which he has had responsibility for the firm’s corporate and business development, financing and expansion strategy. During his time in this role, the firm launched in-country operations in Laos, established its current holding company structure in Singapore and raised additional growth capital from international investors.

Savin joined Emerging Markets Group Holding in 2007 as the first Cambodian Consultant at Emerging Markets Consulting (EMC) and was one of the initial team members at Emerging Markets Investments (EMI), joining as a full-time Investment Officer in mid 2010.

CHHAY Mony joined EMI in 2011 as an Investment Officer. He is charged with generating investment pipeline, deal assessment, business and financial due diligence, as well as a range of post-investment support tasks. The latter include producing business and financial models for portfolio companies, representing the fund as a board member of its investees and supporting investees’ management in business improvement analyses, coaching and mentoring to key staff.

Monisophorn joined the Emerging Markets Investments EMI team in August 2011 as an Investment Officer. Her main responsibilities encompass business and financial due diligence, including market/sector research and analysis, financial modelling, and operational assessment. Working with EMI Directors, she also helps develop deal structures and term sheets for potential CLDF investees. Monisophorn also provides support to CLDF investees across a full range of business functions, including business strategy development, marketing, financial management, and participating on the Board of Directors of selected investees.
