• Take overall responsibility for managing client projects including researching, analysing and developing insights for our private sector and development clients
• Define and lead research and analytical tasks and prepare client-ready deliverables
• Communicate articulately and build strong relationships with clients
• Guide and manage other EMC team members, share knowledge and contribute to staff development
• Ensure that EMC's brand and image are maintained and that the highest standards of ethical conduct are employed in the conduct of EMC's work

• At least five years of business experience
• Recognized university degree in relevant discipline (Business, Economics, and Finance). MBA or equivalent preferred but not required
• Personable, excellent written English, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent data-driven analytical skills in Microsoft Office applications

The Analyst Role

• Provide support in managing client projects including researching and analysing data with the EMC team (typically a Senior Consultant or Consultant)
• Develop research tools such as questionnaires for expert interviews or field research; conduct desk research and primary research to collect data to help answer key client questions
• Develop basic Excel models to interpret data collected and build frameworks for evaluating and presenting information collected
• Interpret, summarize and present the results of analysis; write parts of draft reports or presentations for clients

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Recognized university degree in relevant discipline (Business, Economics, and Finance). Prior working experience is preferable
• Personable, excellent written English, communication and presentation skills
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for developing basic analytical frameworks and models
• Strong data-driven analytical skills in Microsoft Office applications
• Fast Learner: pride yourself on ability to learn things quickly
• Pro-active, results-driven, "get it done" attitude
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and as part of the team
