Eva joined EMC as a Senior Consultant in the Phnom Penh office with primary responsibilities for project management, client delivery and leading consulting analyses for the group. She has led EMC teams on projects involving investment analyses, strategic development, financial modeling and business valuations, serving both private sector development and business consulting projects.

In the private sector development field, Eva has wide experience in strategy and investment promotion activities for public and private sector clients. Examples of recent engagements include:

•      Working with the public and private sectors to improve the provincial business environment on behalf of USAID’s MSME project

•      Developing Sector Investment Profiles, focusing on business and investment promotion opportunities in the tourism, swine and aquaculture sectors

•      Leading the development of a national swine business strategy, working with the private sector on short and long-term goals and the means to achieving them

For business consulting clients, Eva has been involved in a variety of engagements, including the development of strategic investment plans for foreign investors, assessing market positioning and modeling the market feasibility and financial aspects surrounding these investments. She has also helped to develop market entry strategies for these investors.

Eva brings experience from the private, public and NGO sectors. She began her career in the strategy and marketing consulting field, working with the Monitor Group and with Omnicom, based out of London. Her experience also includes working with the UK Government’s main education agency on the design and implementation of a new national educational qualification across the UK. Immediately prior to joining EMC, she was working with an NGO on rural development projects in Cambodia.

Eva holds an MSc in NGO Management and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science and twin BA degrees with honours in European Business Management and Administration from the University of Portsmouth (England) and the University Antonio de Nebrija (Spain). She maintains particular interest in the role of private investment and entrepreneurship in the development of emerging and frontier markets. She is a Spanish national.
